Dear Partners,

Greetings to all of NCM’s partners, friends and supporters. We are happy to bring you some news from our latest adventures in Kenya. Again it was a very successful trip. Scott O’Greysik and I left for Kenya on April 28th and returned May 15th. It was one of the shortest trips that we have made but it was also a very productive one. Through all our travels we have made some great contacts, and this trip was no different. Whether the contacts are from the Government or the industrial supply end of the spectrum we know that they will be a valuable asset in the months and years to come.

As we look back at 2007 as being one of the most difficult years, it has also been one of breaking the ground for the years to come. 2007 will be a year to remember not only for the good things that happened, but also for the opposition; physically, mentally and spiritually. The good news is that NCM and our team of dedicated workers have come through the trials and passed the test. (I’m sure there will be more challenges ahead).

Ministry Goals: After meeting with Zeddys and the Drill for Life Team we have come up with a plan to drill one borehole per month. The team was very excited and had a lot of input on how this could be accomplished. With all this being said we are hoping to have eight boreholes completed by the end of 2008.We believe that this is an achievable goal and the Team has also bought into this mandate.

One of the main reasons for this trip was to check and evaluate the drilling equipment and come up with a plan that would help us be more productive now - but also serve us well into the future. Scott was certainly the right guy to have on this trip because of his background working with Flint Energy Services. When we gave Scott the call to come on the trip he was not sure what value he would add, but it turned out he was indeed the right guy for the task. In Scott’s own words “It is awesome how God uses us if we just get out of the way and let him!”.

We came up with the plan to order and purchase a 12-ton TATA 4 by 4, complete with an open deck and a 6-ton Atlas crane. Also a custom built four-wheeled trailer that is closed in to provide adequate storage space for all the tools and equipment.

Pastor Wilson: Has been busy as usual with different ministry projects, one of which was the building of a pit latrine in Lokore. The old one was in a sad state as the tin sheet that was used for the floor has long since corroded and become too dangerous to support weight.

He has also been busy trying to secure the piece of land that will one day be the compound for the Nehemiah Training Center and Drill for Life Project. It has been a very long process but we can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel! Just last month we received word that the Government has completed the paper work and we are recognized as an NGO in Kenya, this was a very important piece of the puzzle as now we are able to register the land in the Ministry name. The survey should be done this week and by July 1st everything should be a go!!!

NCM is also looking at bringing Pastor Wilson over to Canada in September to meet and greet as many friends and partners as he can. We are in the process of organizing his trip so if you are interested in meeting and hearing him speak please contact me ASAP! We are also looking for some help with the costs of his travel and expenses for the time he is here; if you feel you would like to contribute please let me know.

Nehemiah Training Center: This is something that Pastor Wilson is very excited about and now with all the details of the land being taken care of, we are hoping to begin moving forward as soon as possible. The first thing we will do is having a complete plan drawn up showing the land usage and plot plan. When that is complete we will proceed with fencing 3 to 5 acres of the 50 to ensure a safe and secure compound. Also, one of the next things will be to drill a water well to supply the needs for construction of the center.

The Wrap Up:

The Drilling Project is going very well, we have almost completed the fourth well and so far all four have been good producers.

With the construction project beginning very soon we are looking for teams to help with wisdom and labor. (oct-nov)

As we keep moving forward with the Drilling project we are in need of $10000.00 per month just to keep going. As the ministry needs grow the requirement for new partners also grows. If you have any contacts you think might be interested in our projects please let us know. We would appreciate any opportunity to share the vision of Nehemiah Construction Ministries to help the poor and needy! Have A Great Summer

YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE

Blessings to all
